Airshift terms of use

Effective when Airshift 1.0 is released. Airshift is made by Johann Flores (dgtol.co). Contact: dgtol@me.com

The short version

Airshift lets you run a station and tune in to your friends' stations. Be someone people are glad to have on their dial. What you put on your station is public, and there is no tolerance for abusive or objectionable content.

What you need

An iPhone, an iCloud account, and an Apple Music subscription. Airshift never sends music; your phone plays each song through your own Apple Music subscription, and Apple's terms cover that.

What you put on Airshift

Your handle, display name, station name, station picture, queue and voice clips are yours, and they are public: anyone using Airshift can see or hear them. By posting them you give Airshift permission to store and show them so the app can work. Only post what you have the right to post. Voice clips are for your own voice, not for music or other people's recordings. Hosting a station does not distribute any recording: your station is a list of songs and a time, and each listener's phone plays those songs from that listener's own Apple Music subscription.

What is not allowed

No content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence or anything illegal. No impersonating other people. No spam. No using voice clips to broadcast music. No trying to break, overload or scrape the service.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Every station has Report and Block. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and content or accounts that break these terms are removed without notice.

Purchases

"Own Airshift" is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. It unlocks your own station picture, including one made on your phone with Apple’s Image Playground, and unlimited voice clips. Listening and hosting are free and stay free. Refunds are handled by Apple.

Leaving

You can delete your station and profile at any time in Settings. That removes them from Airshift.

No promises about uptime

Airshift is provided as it is. It depends on iCloud and Apple Music, which are Apple's services, and stations can be unavailable when they are. To the extent the law allows, Airshift is not liable for losses from using or not being able to use it.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be in the app and at myairshift.com/terms with a new date. Continuing to use Airshift means you accept them.
